Dr. Chris Oosthuizen is a distinguished Ear, Nose and Throat and Rhinoplasty Surgeon with more than a decade of both local and international experience. His practice is focused on all aspects of Paediatric ENT conditions and the surgical management of Sinus and Nasal conditions in adult patients.
Dr. Oosthuizen has trained at leading institutions in South Africa, Ireland and Australia. He has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) as well as the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and is registered as a specialist surgeon in both Ireland and Australia. During the 15 years dedicated to medical and surgical training he also elected to pursue a master’s degree in advanced surgical practice from Cardiff University, Wales.
Following 6 years of specialist training he undertook a further year of advanced training in Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery. During this time, he gained invaluable experience in the management of all nasal conditions, sinus surgery and Rhinoplasty procedures.
Dr. Chris is the director of Form & Function Rhinoplasty and Sinus Surgery, a service dedicated to the management of all aspects of adult nasal and sinus disease. He has a passion for Rhinoplasty surgery and firmly believes that achieving the best possible outcome is dependent on addressing both the function and aesthetics of the nose simultaneously.
Dr. Oosthuizen is a pioneer in modern surgical practice. His research has been published in some of the world’s leading peer-reviewed medical journals including The Lancet. He has also had the opportunity to present his research at numerous national and international scientific meetings. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland Medical School and is actively involved in the teaching, training and supervision of medical students, junior doctors and training registrars.
